Yes, but you must speak Spanish.

Can you imagine the laughter they would get at the American Embassy in Mexico, trying to get a visa? Because if they do, they would actually have to pay tuition, and why would they do that when crossing the border illegally equals free tuition?

You probably do not need a visa. Here's the info you need to look at... National IRAN (ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF) (IR) Transit ARGENTINA (AR) /Destination URUGUAY (UY) ALSO CHECK DESTINATION INFORMATION BELOW ARGENTINA (AR) Visa not required, if continuing by same or first connecting aircraft within 6 hours, holding tickets with confirmed reservations and all documents required for next destination. Passenger must consult transporting carrier if changing airport or other airline's flight. In such case, passenger must be escorted by airline's personnel. Leaving the airport is allowed, but only with authorization of Immigration authorities. Airline which brought passenger to Argentina will be held responsible during whole transit period of passenger. In case of transiting Argentina twice during a journey, see additional information: For details, click here -item 1. Non-compliance with transit requirements will result in fines up to three times the published fare between origin and destination, but will never be less than USD 1,000.-.

Well as she is going with you he can have an extended tourist visa for the time you are there. There is no problem to put her in the school but since you are no telling if you are moving temporarily or permanent, neither if she can speak spanish it is difficult to tell you what is the best option. I pass for the same situation but on the other direction. My advice is to put her in a bilingual school, generally private but no too expensive ( more if you think to come back with her).

Hello, As long as you're all legally allowed to live in Buenos Aires you wont have any problems with this, you will need to apply for a visa for her and obviously if you're in the university you'll automatically be allowed a visa. Hope that helps... check out this link it has some extra information about Buenos Aires that will probably help you: http://www.bsas4u.com/insidertipstobsas.php Good luck!

Hello! I think you will not have any problems with your child here in Buenos Aires. We also have schools prepared for it with American teachers and special programs for foreign people. About the Visa yes! its basically work the same for childrens. You just have to start looking for the institutions. Good Luck! Agustin

NO, foreign children must remain uneducated, they are not allowed to go to school.
