G'day Barry Benson, Thank you for your question. I wouldn't think so. Mind you I would check with the Argentinian embassy whether it is OK to take it back to Argentina. Regards
2 :
As a general rule packaged (that is seals bottles, boxes, jars etc) of processed food a not a problem. Unprocessed foods may contain parasite and diseasse, but anything that is packup tight, like a jar of vegemite will not be a problem.

You shouldn't have any problems, normally only meat, vegetables, fruits and sometimes dairy products are restricted or prohibited. You can check the Argentina Customs Allowances here: http://www.iatatravelcentre.com/AR-Argentina-customs-currency-airport-tax-regulations-details.htm

Clothing styles in Argentina?
Clothing styles in Argentina?
I will be a foreign exchange student in Argentina during their winter. Being from the US, I know nothing about their clothing style. I have been told that the school I will attend requires uniforms but I won't have to wear one since I'll only be there for 2 months. What would be appropriate for me to wear to school? What about on weekends? Or for any other common activities for Argentine teens? Also, any random info about Argentina would be appreciated! (Question....do they have Walmart??? lol)

people Argentina dress the sam as we do they just wear dark colored clothing dont ask me y but the do and im pretty sure the have a walmart'

they do wear similar styles of clothing as the US. the girls wear a lot of make up and skimpy clothes to go out at night (i rag on my cousin cause she dresses like a vegas girl, ha), but i think you should stick with what you know. maybe you'll attract some new friends if you don't dress exactly like them. yes they have walmart, but it depends on where you are staying because it's not like here where you see one in virtually every town

If you're in college, then there should be a international studies office. If not, then there are plenty of ways to find exchange programs throughout your state and city. This site looks legit, but I would go to citysearch through google for your city. http://www.afsusa.org/usa_en/link/5367?gclid=COXj9pG79JgCFRFMagodoUHI0Q I've studied abroad twice- both times my parents paid. I went through my high school and then my university. It's an experience that not only let's me experience another culture, but actually learn something that will apply to my life, such as courses, and help me to build tolerance and even learn about myself <--- good way to convince them to help.

What can exchange students do when they are bored?
What can exchange students do when they are bored?
okay so as of now i am an exchange student in Argentina and sometimes i just have those days where i cant think of anything to do. sometimes there is a whole week where i barely do anything at all. I am doing a Brazilian dance class, and a workout class but those are at night. and i have friends but they cant always hang out with me. im not the only one who has this problem. i have spoken to other exchange students and we all have the mutual problem of getting bored and just not knowing what we can do. any ideas?
