Webcam in other countries?
Webcam in other countries?
I'm going to be an exchange student next year in Argentina, and I want to have a great webcam that'll work in a computer over their (are they all the same?) Which would you recommend, do I have to buy a special one? Also, are you allowed to plug webcams in at a internet cafe? Thank you.

Unlike power connectors, most computers use the same technology for web cameras. Most use USB these days. Assuming the computer you are using there isn't over 10 years old, you shouldn't have any problems as long as you bring the software with you. As for your second question, it depends on the cafe. Some yes, some no. If you're using your own laptop, then of course you can.

Nobody is going to allow you to insall the webcam software on a machine in an internet cafe. If they allowed users to install anything, all their machines would be trashed in a day.
